WOOD STORK. Adventure in a glass.

Hardly any other drink has as many stories to tell as rum. Originating from sugar cane brought back by traders and sailors from Southeast Asia, it quickly became a traveler itself: in barrels on pirate ships, as a daily ration for the British navy, and as a sought-after commodity in countries around the globe. This wanderlust is still present in every bottle today—and that's exactly what inspired us to make our own. One that tastes of adventure. And a little bit of the Black Forest.

South America meets the Black Forest

The basis of WOOD STORK is South American sugar cane. It is fermented in the Black Forest, distilled on our Black Forest copper stills and processed into rum in a completely climate-neutral way. Sugar cane from one corner of the world meets traditional craftsmanship from another - this is how the story of WOOD STORK begins.

Unique enjoyment

Coffee, bitter orange, ginger, chili, vanilla and cocoa: spices and aromas from all over the world come together in WOOD STORK to create a spiced rum with character. Each of these spices has its own story. Together, they create a unique pleasure that tastes of adventure - and yet clearly knows where it comes from. Original Black Forest spruce and fir honey provides an extra dose of the Black Forest.

The story behind the bottle design

WOOD STORK is the English name for the wood stork. It lives in South America, where it enjoys life in constant sunshine. But the stork is also a symbol of travel and therefore of discovery. A bird that experiences an adventure with ease in order to achieve beauty.

The WOOD STORK is our spirit animal, our inspiration, our role model, so that we never forget why we started this project and that the path is always the right one. And that's how WOOD STORK Schwarzwald made Spiced Rum came to the stork.
